Your Host
Mark, in Lanzarote since 1993
Originally from London, Mark came to Lanzarote in 1993 and never really left. Since then he's had the pleasure of being a father to three wonderful kids. Charlie, his eldest, completed many short distance triathlons and is now travelling the world pursuing his dream of becoming a filmmaker. Flynn, a talented cook, has a real passion for good food and brings great energy to the Casa Conil household. And Darcy, his youngest, has just finished school and is looking forward to her next chapter.
Mark fell in love with triathlon in 2012 and has completed ten Ironman races so far, including five right here in Lanzarote. His training led him to build the 25 metre pool at the villa, and it wasn't just for his own laps. Flynn lives with muscular dystrophy, and the pool has become a real support for him, offering a gentle way to move and build strength in the water.
Mark knows the island inside out, from where the wind turns to which café opens early and which climb is worth saving your legs for. He's mapped out countless bike routes from the villa, so if you fancy a ride, he's always happy to join.
Casa Conil was the family home for many years. It's where Mark raised his children and created countless memories, and he's proud to open the doors and welcome you into this special place.
A Home Before a Rental
This was the house the children grew up in. Years of dinners, homework and wet swimming costumes. Birthdays and boards stacked by the door, bikes half rebuilt on the terrace, friends staying longer than planned. The marks of all of that are still here, in the best possible way.
Now that the children have their own lives, it felt right to open the doors rather than let the house sit quiet. We look after it as we always did, and we hope it feels less like a booking and more like being handed the keys by a friend.

A base for training, or for doing very little

Four bedrooms, a long pool, shaded terraces and a kitchen worth cooking in. plus beaches, markets and volcano roads within easy reach.
For triathletes
A training base a hundred metres from the Ironman bike course, with secure bike storage, early breakfasts and a host who knows every climb on the island.
